Sportfishing In Guatemala And Mexico
Guatemala — Package: 24001002
Package Details and Information:
The majority of people come for sailfish. We do have dolphin (dorado), yellowfin tuna (small), marlin. There is also inshore fishing for rooster fish, jack, sierra, mackeral, cubera snapper.
We offer all inclusive packages to fit all budgets, and own and operate a fleet of inshore and offshore sportfishing boats. We also have available for our use the majority of the other sportfishing boats in Guatemala at Marina Pez Vela. It is our mission to offer the greatest value and and highest level of service for your sportfishing vacation in Guatemala. The experience of our Captains and mates allow us to offer both convention and fly fishing trips, and we also have available a Bilingual FFF certified fly guide to enhance the learning experience of catching a Sailfish or Marlin on the fly.
Guatemala enjoys virtually a year ’round season for sailfish. In Guatemala’s unspoiled Pacific waters, days with finicky or non-aggressive feeders are few and far between.
For the “Fly-Flinger,” this is as close to a slam dunk for shots at sailfish you will get. Multiple opportunities are considered routine and your biggest worry will be whether or not you brought enough tackle. Both Fall and Spring could provide you the chance to go toe-to-fly with the much sought-after, but seldom caught, blue marlin.
As if that is not enough to wear you out, football-sized tuna, dorado and some Bubba class roosters inshore will test your fly-rodding skills to the limit.

Location and Fishing Information
Sportfishing In Guatemala And Mexico - Guatemala: Iztapa Guatemala has gained an international reputation as having one of the highest concentrations of billfish, in particular Pacific Sailfish year round, and consistently ranks as the place to go for sailfishing in all the major US fishing publications such as: Marlin, Sportfishing, Saltwater sportsman Big Game and others. Whether you are using conventional gear or flyfishing gear, Guatemala is the place to go for big gamefishing. The sport fishing fleet in Iztapa Guatemala is only about 20 boats, which leaves very little competition when compared to other places. Strong Pacific currents create an enormous, natural occurring eddy, rich in bait.
Mexico: Huatulco Mexico is one of Mexicos newest supperresorts. It is located on the southern pacific coast of Mexico on the gulf of Tehuanepec, and offers great fishing for Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Roosterfish, and snook among others. From a sportfishing standpoint it is relatively undeveloped with very few boats in the local fleet. In addition to great fishing, Huatulco offers spectacular scenery, beaches, and resorts with all the amenities to stay in.
