Fishing In Tasmania

Our private waters have over five kilometres of meandering shoreline. Five trout filled lakes are set amongst 900 acres of native bush. You may be experienced and want to take in the dawn rise, or you may be a beginner and need some tuition. Whatever your level of expertise, we have what you are looking for. Brown Trout search the shores for food early in the mornings and evenings, while "Rainbows" cruise the open waters ever ready for that well presented fly. For those learning, we have sheltered water. There is a comfortable day room with rest-rooms, and kitchen facilities for tea and coffee. Sheltered BBQ's near the large lake provide an excellent location for family outings - so bringing a picnic hamper is always recommended. Fish all day, cook your catch on our BBQ hotplate and enjoy a sumptuous meal.

With us the beginner is not forgotten. Expert tuition by experienced guides is readily available. This ensures that everyone fishing the lakes has more than a sporting chance of landing that "big one".
Beginners practice fly casting technique at a specially prepared pond, under the watchful eye of our trained guide.After mastering casting you can venture out onto the main lakes for some serious fishing alone.Tackle available for hire.

Fishing In Tasmania -
We have a wide variety of animals such as Alpacas, Tasmanian Devils, Birds, Wallabies and Emus to view and to interact with.

Visit us for just an hour or stay for the day. Stay as long as you like! Our facilities include a modern reception centre, a cafeteria with a balcony overlooking the wildlife park and the fishing lakes in the distance. Snacks are available as well as a good range of souvenirs. There is also a BBQ area.

There are plenty of things to do besides fishing. Take a guided tour in one of our 6 motorized buggies, or explore the lake on one of our Paddle Boats.
