We certainly employ some of the best guides in the area. All of our guides are as passionate about fly fishing and these mountains as anyone you’ll ever meet. Most of our guides have lived in the Smoky Mountains their whole lives and started fly fishing at very young ages. They all spend countless hours fishing and honing their skills to make your trip more productive and enjoyable. Each one is unique in his own ability and specialties. Some are small creek specialists, while others are more at home on the larger waters of the Tuckasegee River, and Little Tennessee, and one is a complete Smallmouth Bass guru. Each guide was hand selected not only for their skills and knowledge, but for their personalities.
Besides the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, there are numerous other places to catch a nice trout. Western North Carolina features miles upon miles of great trout fishing. From special designated Wild Trout Water, Hatchery Supported Streams, to full blown western style rivers that are under special Delayed Harvest programs there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.
We pride ourselves in being flexible with what our clientele want. We are more than happy to custom tailor your trip to better suit your needs, just let us know. We offer several different packages from a beginning angler class, to overnight back country destinations, and anything in between. So if you have something you would like to do in mind, give us a call and we will be happy to work out all the details. We do supply all leaders, tippet, and flies at no additional charge. floatant and drinks. Lunches are provided on the longer all day wade trips and float trips.
For the ultimate Smoky Mountain Flyfishing adventure, we do offer Overnight Back Country Trips to Hazel Creek, Eagle Creek, Forney Creek, Noland Creek, and Deep Creek. This is best way to get the most enjoyment out of flyfishing the Great Smoky Mountains. We venture in to remote locations within the park, and set up camp at one the back country camp sites. We then proceed to fish until dark thirty. Your guides will then fix a nice meal, possibly of freshly caught trout that you caught. You can relax by the fire and we’ll tell stories and lies to way into the night. After breakfast the next morning, we hit the creeks and do it all over again. This is the pinnacle of Flyfishing in the Smokies. For safety reasons and convenience, two guides will accommodate you and your party on these remote destinations. Fly Fishing The Smoky Mountains, NC - The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is touted as one of the most beautiful places on earth. With more plant and animal life than anywhere else in North America, and according to geologist some of the oldest mountains in the world, its easy to see why a body can fall in love with its splendor. With over 2000 miles of creeks and streams located within the park boundary there is an endless possibility of places to explore and test your angling prowess on the wary trout who lurk in the many cascading pools and plunges.
In addition to guided trout fishing, we offer guided trips for Small Mouth Bass. If you’ve never caught a Small Mouth Bass on a fly rod before you are in for a treat! The Small Mouth is per size, arguably, the gamest of fish that swims.
We fish for Small Mouth starting in April all the way into October. The action is explosive, and very consistent. These trips can be either on the Tuckasegee River, or the Little Tennessee River, and range from either wade or float trips.
Rainbow Trout are found throughout all the park streams. These fish are amazingly strong and very acrobatic and come readily to a fly that has the right presentation. The Rainbow Trout located here have some of the brightest colors that you will find anywhere else in the world.
