There is no electricity at Louis Lake! That's right, no televisions, telephones, refrigerators, computers, etc. Bring your own flashlights, and we provide propane lanterns, bedding, and towels. Even cell phones don't work very well at Louis Lake. The closest grocery store is in Lander, which is 9 miles down a dirt road and another 30 miles on highway.
Pack for an adventure and make sure to bring coolers with plenty of food and ice!
We have five historic cabins (#'s 1-5) which were renovated in 1996 to preserve their integrity. They are approximately 60 feet apart in a semi-circle arrangement with Cabin #1 at one end and the common bathhouse at the other. We also have two newer family size cabins (#'s 6&7) which are hidden from the road, but have a lake view from the porch. These cabins are located behind Cabins 1-5, but not far away. We also have a more secluded cabin tucked away in the trees, cabin #8, with one queen bed, bathroom, and kitchen inside.
The new LODGE was started during the summer of 2002 and will be completed for the 2006 summer season. We are excited to have this 5,000 sq ft facility be the main Lodge for summer and winter activities.
The Lodge with includes 5 rental bedrooms, two large multipurpose rooms, kitchen, reading loft, employee rooms, and laundry facilities.
