The Winnipeg River is an historic river and was Western Canada’s first ‘highway’. Settlers appeared on these shorelines as early as 1737. It is contained within the Precambrian Shield and covers a large part of northwestern Ontario before flowing through Whiteshell Provincial Park and reaching the lodge's front door.
There are many big Pike in the Winnipeg River and just as many stories of the 'big one' that got away! Walleye are very plentiful, up to 10 pound monsters in the depths with the average in the 2 lb. range - the tastiest size for a shore lunch. The natural habitat, combined with conservation efforts have resulted in a healthy fishery providing plentiful stocks.

Fishing Lodge On The Winnipeg River - The lodge, family-owned and operated since 1963, is a remote fishing lodge located
on the Winnipeg River in the heart of Canada's Precambrian Shield.

Located 100 miles northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, guests depart from our landing in Point du Bois,
Manitoba and journey by boat 15 miles up the Winnipeg River. The lodge is in a narrow channel backing
onto Lauries Creek, providing excellent fishing right off our dock.

The Winnipeg River is well-known for its trophy-size fish. Many have earned Master Angler Awards on the River. We invite you down to try some of Manitoba's best Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass fishing.

We offer affordable river front, light house-keeping cabins. Cabins have fully equipped kitchens with propane fridge and stove, hot and cold water, bbq's and a picnic table. Modern washroom facilities with showers.

Main Lodge offers dining room and meeting facilities. Our pig roast bbq and large outdoor kitchen tent is available for corporate and group gatherings.
