Package Details and Information:
Our Lodge is the only fishing operation on Phelps Lake in northern Saskatchewan. This virtually virgin 32-mile-long lake opened to anglers in 2000, and much of its waters are still unfished. Phelps lake hosts over 34,000 acres of water and over 300 islands. Plus an additional 15,000+ acres of prime pike waters are available on accessible day use lakes. With only a maximum of 12 anglers at one time, The exclusive trophy Pike fishing is second to none with comparably the best pike fishing stats in North America. Being the sole operation on the lake along with quality management, we will ensure top quality angling on Phelps Lake for Years to come.
The fishing on Phelps Lake is mainly for Northern Pike and Lake Trout. The Lake Trout average in the 5 to15 pounds, with many in the 20 to 40+ pounds, range. The Northern Pike are plentiful with many caught in the 48 to 50 inch range.
Feeder streams hold Arctic Grayling, providing for more of an angling challenge, and the main lake has plentiful White Fish. Phelps Lake also hosts its own resident Mystery Trout; an unidentified fish species.
The fishing has proven to be world class with Master Anglers being caught on almost a daily basis.
Each morning at our guests enjoy a hearty full-course home-cooked breakfast while you check the morning news and stocks on the camp’s satellite TV. Now gather your gear and join up with your experienced guide for an action filled day on Phelps Lake.
You will head out on Phelps Lake with 16 foot aluminum boats powered by environmentally friendly Yamaha 25hp four-stroke outboards. All boats are equipped with padded swivel seats, casting decks, depths sounders, and marine radios for communication with the base-camp or fellow fisherman. A long day of pure fishing is ahead.
After catching some big ones, rest and enjoy a shore lunch on one of the countless islands on Phelps Lake. Your guide will prepare you a mouth watering meal of fresh fish. Pike or Trout can be prepared many ways, baked, fried or your own request.
At days end, tasty appetizers and a home-cooked, all you can eat, dinner will be served. Guests often spend the early evenings, relaxing outdoors and taking walks in the wild North of Canada. Opportunities are countless to see wildlife in their natural habitat.
At days end, retire for the night to your thermostat controlled heated cabin. All cabins have private washrooms with pressurized hot showers and daily housekeeping. As the loons songs echo across the bay, drift away to sleep as you rest for the next big day.

"Though I have been fishing for pike for more than 30 years,
17 or 18 of the biggest pike I ever caught were taken in the few days I stayed with you".

"Barry was excellent, his manner, knowledge and instruction made you feel immediately at ease and confident that you would catch fish. The equipment supplied was of an excellent standard, and his wife's home made muffins were just as good. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would not hesitate to book Barry for sessions should we be in the area anytime in the future."
