You find us in one of the most pristine 'wilderness' locations remaining in Ireland. We are seven miles from the village of Waterville, Co Kerry, and two miles from the nearest public road. Lough Currane is unique in Ireland, producing almost every specimen sea trout over 6lbs. It is 4 miles long and 2 miles wide at its widest.
Lough Derriana is two miles long and sits amidst stunning mountain scenery at the top of the Waterville System.
Loughs Namona and Cloonocklin are a short distance up the Waterville system. These loughs produce many of the very large sea trout (sea-run browns) for which the area is famous. The loughs also contain trophy resident browns and many small free-rising brown trout.
For the adventurous angler, there are dozens of hill loughs in south-west Kerry. Almost all contain unique strains of free-rising wild brown trout.
There are many non-fishing activities and excursions locally, like golf, horse riding, boat trips, horse racing, shopping and sites to visit.

Freshwater And Saltwater Fly Fishing - Our lodge is located at the eastern end of Lough Currane, at the base of the Coomcallee mountain range. We are well placed to provide peace, solitude and home-comfort, along with freshwater and saltwater game fishing experiences.
Better known as the Ring Of Kerry, the Iveragh Peninsula is the most westerly landmass in Europe. It comprises an area of 344,000 acres of which rivers and lakes cover 9000 acres. The Atlantic Ocean borders the Iveragh Peninsula on three sides.
It is the most mountainous part of Ireland and is dominated by northeast to southwest trending mountain ranges, separated by intervening valleys, which extend to an irregularly indented coastline of cliffs and bays at the western end.
The Waterville System of lakes and rivers is connected to the Atlantic Ocean allowing easy and seasonal access to migratory salmon and sea trout (sea-run brown trout).
Traditional 'Lough-style' flyfishing using 10 to 11 foot #6wt or #7wt rods is the main attraction of these lakes. Teams of up to three flies are cast from a drifting boat, operated by a ghillie (guide).
Some of Kerrys finest salmon and sea trout rivers are but a short drive from home.
The rivers we fish are mainly the Caragh, Laune and Inny.
Miles of surf beaches (strands) and rocky reefs await the saltwater fly fisher. These locations offer some of the best bass fly fishing and saltwater sea trout fishing in Europe.
