This is one of the last, large lakes in Northeast Ontario that is still classified as being remote, mainly due to the dam at the north end and absolutely NO ROAD ACCESS. It covers an area roughly 22,000 acres in size when added to Sucker Gut (funny name, beautiful lake) and Willow Island Lakes.  Upwards of 450 miles of wilderness shoreline for walleye to cruise, bass to nest and northern pike to ambush.  Red Pine is located on the Northeast arm of the lake featuring many sheltered fishing areas and water depths in the 15' to 40' range.  No need to hunt for trophies in deep water here.  In fact, as large as Lady Evelyn Lake is, most guests stay within a three mile radius of Red Pine Island for most of their fishing excursions!  

Our wilderness Lodge, and its 9 guest cottages set amidst towering, fragrant red pine trees on a remote 7 acre island are the ideal place for your special remote fishing trip or wilderness family holiday. We are the Gateway to two huge parks: The Obabika Waterway Park and The Lady Evelyn/Smoothwater Wilderness Park.

To compliment our fishing there is hiking, swimming, sunbathing, and waterfall exploring.  Nearby nature trails offer a chance to explore the diverse landscape and to snap the perfect photograph. Some of the wildlife you may see include, Moose, Black Bear, Osprey, Bald & Golden Eagles, Otters, Beaver, and the perhaps  the elusive Timber Wolf or Bobcat.   White sandy beaches and crystal clear waters are an invitation to swimmers and water sport lovers alike.  And, at the end of a worry free day you can be a "porch potato" (the North's version of a couch potato) on your own front deck to enjoy a gorgeous northern sunset...

Our full service fishing lodge is as remote as a fly-in camp but as a unique boat-in there are a few notable differences:
First, there is no weight limitation for each fishing guest. (Believe me, we have seen everything from a blender to a float tube!)

Second, the cost to the fishermen is cheaper than a similar fly-in. (Boats rather than planes $$$)

Third, you can enjoy all the "creature comforts" at Red Pine that you would find at most drive-to full service fishing camps. (Hot showers in each cottage, delicious meals served to you etc.)

Fourth, you have the chance to fish a large, very remote lake without having to "learn" how to fish it all by yourself. (We have a guide service and many repeat guests that are very good at showing you the hot spots and how to fish them.)

Most folks visit us for our exceptional Walleye (Pickerel) fishing, but large Northern Pike, healthy Smallmouth Bass, tasty Whitefish and Perch think Lady Evelyn Lake is a great place to live!
