Kiwi hosts Kim & Andrew are probably the youngest owner hosts you will find in New Zealand. They take imense pride in presenting HCE and personal care is taken to provide a warm peaceful atmosphere where guests can relax and unwind.
During the winter of 2004 Kim & Andrew have undertaken a major refurbishment of the manor. This will make it particularly pleasing to share the estate with guests over the current season.
On the first floor a grand balcony opens out from the lounge and is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the lake views. In the cooler months, the open fire provides a homely place to unwind and chat with friends, both old and new.
Lodge chef is a real asset to the house and never fails to delight diners. The intimate restaurant provides a perfect conclusion to a days sightseeing, offering chef's devine fresh country cuisine complemented by a select range of New Zealand wines.
After dinner, the bar and billiards room provides the perfect place to gather and socialise.

The hosts love animals, so expect an enthusiastic greating from their friendly champion Schnauzers. As you explore the farm you'll also meet Kim's sporting horses, the Captian Cook pig, donkeys and cows, and see deer from the surrounding farm.
A passion for native New Zealand birds means that you will find many in the gardens, enticed by their favourite treats and habitats.
Outdoor facilities on the estate include the tennis court, petanque terrain, swimming pool, helipad, BBQ areas.
