four Nights and five Days

Day One Arrive at Vanghat river lodge

Arrive at Ramnagar , Here you will meet our team member , Drive 22 kms to the starting point of trek inside the forest . It's an 45 mins escorted trek  into the Sal forests . It is an excellent opportunity to walk in the cool of the forest, to be so close to nature and to appreciate the varied plants, insects, birds, mammals and reptiles that inhabit this part of the country.  Arrive at Lodge , wash & change , Lunch will served. Evening take a walk at river to feel the area .

Evening campfire and dinner, which is leisurely and personal. Along with the excellent cuisine, your guide and hosts will amuse and amaze you with their stories of exciting experiences. Then it is time to relax once again and enjoy carefree chatter by the fireside O/N in huts.

Day Two Whole Day angling on the Ramganga River


Early morning move to  Ramganga River with your fishing guide and a packed meal. Whole day would be spent angling on the Ramganga River.  Evening for campfire and dinner. Overnight in Huts.

Day Five Depart for onward destination


Depart after breakfast , Time free for leasure & after lunch walk 1.1/2 hrs  back to Civilization , our vehical will pick you up drop you to Railway station for onward destination.

Delhi at a distance of 300-kms is the nearest international airport.
The lodge is 22km away from Ramnagar town. The entire stretch is through dense Sal forests. Half this distance can be covered by jeep on a forest track and the other half is a steep downhill walk that descends into the Ramganga valley. From December to June, there’s an easier access via the suspension bridge at Baluli, from where it’s a gradual 2.5 km walk. After February it is possible to drive into Vanghat on a trail built along the Ramganga that fords in and out of the river.

About Golden Mahseer : Golden Mahseer is a Local words means " The Big Mouth " , It is fish closely related to European Bardel & Carp. This creature is known to be the toughest among the fresh water sport fish. The fish has elongated body With pointed snout.The inter orbital space is flat  while the jaws are of equally sized. Barbels are in two pairs with the rostral barbel shorter than the maxillary.  Its ia highly finicky &  moody fish, The body color is Golden , greyish on dorsal side & reddish - yellow fins.

The best ways of Mahseer fishing is Spinning, It is a fish know for its fight, After hooking one will realise the amount of strength.  it is the largest member of the carp family in the world.
