North Carolina (NC) — Package: 200120
Package Details and Information:
Fishing Western North Carolina
Madison County offers a multitude of spring fed creeks and rivers, each more beautiful than the last. Through the heart of the county winds the mighty French Broad River. The French Broad is the third oldest river in the world, flowing through the oldest mountains in North America.
Directly adjacent to this magnificent river is the Pisgah National Forest. This forest is largely unspoiled by man, appearing as it has for centuries in quiet, majestic splendor.
The French Broad is home to a variety of fish. Smallmouth bass are the staple here, with musky, flathead and channel catfish, crappie, panfish, walleye and largemouth bass also present. Occasionally river gar, striped bass and sauger are also caught.
No matter how long you are in the Asheville, NC area, we can get you on the water, and on the fish! Spend an afternoon, a day, or a weekend in the glorious Mountains exploring the creeks and rivers of western North Carolina. Species include ook, own, and rainbow trout, as well as smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, musky, and walleye.
We can fish from shore, while wading, or from our custom outfitted whitewater raft. Fly fishing, Spin fishing, whatever you're used to or want to learn, our guides can help you succeed. Asheville NC and the surrounding area of western North Carolina's Appalachian Mountains hold numerous impressive fisheries. Whether it's floating for Musky on the French Broad River between Hendersonville and Asheville, taking on the whitewater in Madison County for smallmouth bass, or wading with a fly rod for trout in one of the hundreds of crystal clear mountain streams that wander through this area, let us take you to where the fish are.
We have fished the streams, creeks, and rivers in this area for years and that experience translates directly into premium fishing excursions for our guests. We are located in Hot Springs NC, about 45 min. from Asheville, poised on the edge of two fantastic fisheries (the French Broad River and Spring Creek), within 5 minutes of a third (The Big Laurel River).

"The best single day's fishing I have had! I had an 89lb Mekong on within minutes of starting fishing. My arms didn't get much of a rest with another 10 or so big Cats coming to the net, with the best being the last fish of the day: a magnificent 95lb Mekong, which provided an epic fight. I'll be back!"
