Ramganga river flows through Corbett National park & is the lifeline of the area .The  wilderness & healthy flora & fauna makes Corbett National park an Ideal destination for your trip. Its a region surrounded by dense forest With presense of great wildlife such as Tigers , Leoards , Elephants , around 600 spieces of birds & alot more.  Legendry River Ramganga f offers a great oppurtunity for Golden Mahseer & Gounch ( Cat Fish ) angling expeditions. This trip provides ideal oppurtunity one can ask for, its a pure wild experience which involves great fishing with overnights in wild . Fishing in some sections where very few anglers have casted for their Mighty Mahseer & whith our Local fishing guides its a different experience, Their stories & knowledge will make one realise the how legendary is the forest & how fortunate one is to be here. Ramganga is probably the only fishing destination where one can cast right inside tiger territory. The largest trophy in this part of river is 70lbs. The best way of fishing spinning & therefore selection of equipment is very important. Once hooked than only one will get the real sense why this fish is called as - The water Tiger.

Five Nights and Six Days

Day One Arrive at Corbett National Park.

Arrive at Resort by lunch. After wash and change and a sumptuous lunch, we would take you on an escorted nature and bird walk into the Sal forests surrounding camp. It is an excellent opportunity to walk in the cool of the forest, to be so close to nature and to appreciate the varied plants, insects, birds, mammals and reptiles that inhabit this part of the country. THE QUIETER YOU ARE, THE MORE YOU WILL SEE.
Back to camp by sundown for campfire and dinner, which is leisurely and personal. Along with the excellent cuisine, your guide and hosts will amuse and amaze you with their stories of exciting experiences. Then it is time to relax once again and enjoy carefree chatter by the fireside whilst feasting on the unique sounds and smells that your exclusive location offers, before retiring to bed with only canvas separating you from the Indian jungles.

Day Two Whole Day angling on the Ramganga River

Early morning depart from Camp by jeep for the Ramganga River with your fishing guide and a packed meal.  Whole day would be spent angling on the Ramganga River. Drive back to Camp by evening for campfire and dinner. Overnight at Jungle camp.

Day Three Jungle camp  to upper Ramganga River

Depart early morning by jeep for the upper Ramganga section, a drive of 4 hours from Camp. Arrive at the campsite by the river- packed breakfast on the way.
The whole day would be spent on various sections of the river with a picnic lunch.
Back to the campsite by evening for dinner and overnight stay in camping tents.

Day Four Whole Day angling on the upper Ramganga River

Get on the river early morning with your fishing guide. Whole day angling on this section, which promises some exciting fishing. Back to the base camp by evening for dinner and overnight stay in camping tents.

Day Five Upper Ramganga to Resort.

Half day angling on the upper Ramganga River. Pack up and drive back to Resort by late noon. Arrive at Jungle Camp by evening for campfire and barbecue. Dinner and overnight at Camp.  

Day Six Depart for onward destination

Depart after breakfast for onward destination. End of Services.

The Fish Of My Dreams Golden Mahseer - Corbett National Park was the first National Park founded in Asia. * Being an excellent habitat for the Bengal Tiger, “Project Tiger” was launched here in 1973. * Corbett is rich in avifauna with counts of over 600 bird species. The Nearest town is Ramnagar. which is 300kms from international airport of Delhi.

Ramnagar has daily rail connections to Delhi, the capital of India, located in the north of the country.

Golden Mahseer is a Local words that means " The Big Mouth " , It is fish closely related to European Bardel & Carp. This creature is known to be the toughest among the fresh water sport fish. The fish has elongated body With pointed snout.The inter orbital space is flat  while the jaws are of equally sized. Barbels are in two pairs with the rostral barbel shorter than the maxillary.  Its ia highly finicky &  moody fish, The body color is Golden , greyish on dorsal side & reddish - yellow fins.

The best ways of Mahseer fishing is Spinning, It is a fish know for its fight, After hooking one will realise the amount of strength.  it is the largest member of the carp family in the world.

During this trip accomodation is pure wild ,  Our main base will be at fixed Jungle camp which  is the only locale of it’s kind within the Corbett Tiger Reserve. We do not use electricity and encourage local ecology in and around our area. There are 9 spacious safari tents on raised wooden floors are well spaced for privacy. Each tent has a deck and a fully functional toilet. The furnishings in each tent include a chest of drawers with a dressing mirror, twin beds with soft duvets, side tables, deck chairs and a luggage table.
2 mud huts, specially created by local craftsmen have recently replaced two of our tents. Each have thick thatched roofs, a private verandah and attached toilets. Furnishings are similar to the tents.
