Location and Fishing Information

Eagle River Atlantic Salmon Fishing - The Eagle River is found in the northern region of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Approximately 120 miles long, the Eagle meanders on the back of the Mealy Mountains, south east of Goose Bay and empties in to Sandwich Bay.

This river is home to many large Wild Atlantic Salmon and an abundance of grilse. It has many levels of fishing capability perfect for boat and wading. The river provides levels of fishing that can tantalize the avid sport and also provide a novice for some great fishing.

Our Guides are local Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and have extensive knowledge of the outdoors and many years navigating the Eagle. They will point out and land you at one of the many pools on the river. Our lodge provides one guide for every two sports along with boat and motor.

Accommodation:

This salmon fishing resort is made up of six buildings: Main Lodge, Guest Cabins and a Guide Cabin. Both the Fishing Lodge and Cabins rest on the south side of the riverbank and each structure offers a spectacular view of Eagle Falls.

The Main Lodge houses the lounge, dining and kitchen facilities. This common area is ideal for a jovial review of the days fishing, relaxing by the fire while a wonderful home cooked meal is being prepared for you.

The cabins are Duplex style, each with a screened-in porch to seek refuge from the mosquitoes. Each cabin is double occupancy with two twin beds, woodstove and 3pc bathroom.

"Alaska fishing and wildlife is incredible! I’ve fished many parts of the world and nothing has compared or been as exciting as my trip on the Alagnak River. The rainbow and sockeye salmon were abundant. The wildlife and scenery was truly amazing. We saw at least 30 bear that week on the Alagnak, as well as eagle and moose."
