Fishing The Connecticut River
Vermont (VT) — Package: 200125
Package Details and Information:
The Connecticut River begins just below Canada and travels 410 miles to its end at the Atlantic Ocean in Long Island Sound. It is New England's longest river and in 1998 was declared an American Heritage River. The Connecticut River Valley hosts numerous rivers, lakes, ponds and ooks, with the Connecticut River itself, as the border between Vermont and New Hampshire. The rural character coupled with gently rolling mountains, rich farmlands, bucolic villages, green pastures and northern forests evoke a special, warm, feeling you get, when modern day life seems to have drifted away.
In the Upper Valley we have the capabilities to fish a different water body every day of the year if the feeling moves us and the weather allows. There are numerous rivers and ooks that drain into the Connecticut and opportunities exist to catch warm water and coldwater species such as: Brook, Brown and Rainbow Trout; Small mouth and Largemouth Bass; Landlocked Salmon and Brood Stock Atlantic Salmon; Walleye; Northern Pike and Pickerel.
Many visitors also appreciate the region each year for our other activities that include, but are not limited to, outdoor pursuits such as Hiking, Canoeing, Skiing, Snowmobiling, Ice Fishing, Horseback Riding and Exploring to name a few. We have the Green Mountains of Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire right outside our backdoor, which Provide unlimited access to many different types of fishing opportunities.
