Colorado’s famous Arkansas River - Mother's Day “Caddis hatch” beginning in mid April near Canon City, Colorado and runs all the way up to Buena Vista, the ‘Brachy-centrus Caddis’ flies explode upon the lives of fish and anglers alike. As winter warms the Arkansas river valley the caddis come off in a profusion that rivals any hatch anywhere!
Our Fishing Expeditions can offer a float fishing package that will follow this hatch. This exclusive package includes 2 nights lodging in bed & breakfast (double occupancy) with full amenities at Beddin-Down B&B in Salida; 2 full days float-fly-fishing, (2 anglers to a raft); Meals include full breakfast(2) and deli lunches (2) on the river .

FISHING
The Arkansas has arguably some of the better trout fishing in Colorado.  Our custom fishing trips are available during the entire rafting season.  Set up a custom fishing trip any time.  Our trips take you in comfort down the river to otherwise inaccessible fishing holes.  Artificial flies and lures only.  You must have a valid Colorado fishing license.
WEATHER
In the early season (May & June) you can experience cold, changeable high mountain weather. This is  high water time. Most days are warm and sunny, but it is best to be prepared for both  warm and cold weather (50 - 65 degrees).
