New York Salmon River Fishing

There are two types of guided trips we offer for the Salmon River NY:  
Drift boat & Streamside.

We offer two trips a day during Salmon Season in the months of Sept & Oct.          
AM Trip:  from sunrise to 12:00 pm   PM Trip:  from 1:00 pm until sunset        
You can legally fish 1/2 hr before sunrise and 1/2 hr after sunset in New York State.
All guided trips include the use of our finest tackle, bait and or flies.
We have early private access to the Douglaston Salmon Run (DSR) which is the first 2 mile section of the Salmon River.  We do not charge extra for our private access passes
(as some outfitters do), they are included in our trip price.  

No additional cost to you!  Let us hand pick the guide that's right for you.  Depending on your physical ability, skill level, and what you'd like to do/try (fly fish, spin fish, plug, spey fish, or troll on the lake), allow us to arrange your trip.  We know these guides and our name is on the line.  We can save you a lot of time and energy searching for the "Right Guide".  We ourselves are professional full time guides and have been in the business for over 20 years.  All of the guides that we work with are hand selected to provide you with the service you would expect from us, John and Dawn. Each guide has their own unique personality and way of guiding, all of which we know them for.  While they are "All Guides or Captains", they all have unique styles of fishing as well.  We know this too.  You, the customer, are trusting us, the referral service, to place you with the Guide or Captain that is right for you.  We are honored to do this.

New York Salmon River Fishing -
We're currently taking reservations for fall driftboat or streamside guided fishing trips on the Salmon River NY.  We have experienced fly fishing guides as well as spin & spey fishing.  Trust us to set you up with the "Right Guide" so you can learn the following:  
1.  equipment preparation
2.  equipment function
3.  fly casting, spin casting, centerpin float fishing, or spey casting
4.  basic entomology (if you're fly fishing)
5.  stream strategy (how to read water & identifying fish holding areas)
6.  landing your fish
7.  fish handling (to ensure future fish populations)
8.  picture taking (how to take a fast & centered picture of your catch)

Rule of thumb:  Get your fishing guide first and then book your lodging since you can always find a place to lay your head but you can't always get the prime dates or fishing guide if you wait too long.  

Drift boat or Streamside fishing trips are available from our full time fishing guide staff.  Patient fishing guides who love to teach children are available.  If your child can sit still for 5 minutes, then they're ready to go fishing.

All of our facilities are private and come with Dish TV, Wi Fi internet, private bath, wader dryers, coffee pots with coffee, creamer, and sugar, alarm clocks, clean linens, soap, and shampoo. Two of our facilities offer cooking and all have kitchen sinks, microwaves and refrigerators. All facilities are non-smoking, pet free, and absolutely NO fish coolers are allowed inside. All facilities have twin size beds. The downstairs lodge has 2 large custom made bunks. Fish freezing and bags of ice are available on the premises. We can accomodate parties of 1-3, 1-5, and 1-7. We have on street as well as off street parking available.
