We will guide you throughout as you journey around the mythical Guadiana River with its many lagoons and diverse river branches. It is the fifth largest river in Spain. Mans influence has also meant that it houses many reservoirs thus increasing the varying types of fishing that anglers appreciate.
 
Lurking in the depths of this vast expanses of water lay some of the hardest fighting BARBEL found in EUROPE & fishing these venues for CARP is one of the most unforgettable days out an angler will ever have. As an added bonus the whole experience is enhanced with panoramic views , sights, smells & sounds of a natural area of Spain that is breathtakingly beautiful.  
 
Along with the best set ups on the bank we also have three new Bungalows with Bar and Restaurant just 60 seconds from the banks of the great Orellana. Here you can relax and take in the breath taking views and wildlife which surround you.

Exciting Huge Carp Tour In Scenic Spain - The Extremadura province is one of Spain’s most untouched gems. More than 50 million people visit Spain each year, yet you can also travel for days in this region and hear nothing but Spanish. Overall it is mainly flat but the northern area includes lush green valleys and is dotted with some old-fashioned villages which makes it a true area of Spain as opposed to the tourist section. National Parks are home to spectacular bird-life. Spain's 5th longest river, the Guadiana, runs for over 500 miles from East to West throughout Extremadura. Much of the surrounding land is flat but there are wooded sierras rising in its north, south and western sections and the north has some beautiful green valleys. Even though high Summer is extremely hot the winters can be very cold with the winds that blow from the north.(However remember that the larger carp prefer the winter conditions).

The river itself is widely used in Spain’s hydro-electric business & as such it is dammed in many places forming lakes & reservoirs of varying sizes, the largest of which is the de Orellana reservoir. With over a 100kms of banks the reservoir includes several islands and is surrounded by forests ,it contains NO stocked fish as they all came from the Guadiana .
The Extremadura province is perhaps the best location in Spain for huge wild fish. there is an enormous and varied choice of Carp, River Carp, Catfish, Barbel, Pike, Zander, Black Bass, Trout and more in reservoirs large and small and also the rivers with their slow deep glides, fast stretches and weirpools. Orellana is also home to large comizo barbel which have been caught in excess of 35lb. The reservoir offers lots of very promising features in the form of deep bays, points & islands - some of which are only visible when the water level is low. Some of the largest carp in Europe, with fish of nearly 60lbs being caught in recent years. These fish are completely wild and, given the huge size of the lake, many have never seen a bait before. The reservoir has a huge head of crayfish and these form the diet of a lot of the larger fish.

The accommodation is in a complex located in Orrellana about 5 minutes from the banks of the river Guardiana and 5 min's from the village.

There are 3 Bungalows on the complex, all fitted to a very high standard. Each one has 2 bedrooms with single beds. There is a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom.
     
     
The complex contains a bar and restaurant with friendly and hospitable staff making your stay extremely enjoyable. The complex has all the facilities you would expect, including satellite TV and Telephone.

The accommodation is included in the price of both the barbel tour and carp tour also included in the price is the setup of your bivve and camping equipment by the banks.

Airport pick-up & drop-off times are flexible but usually 12 noon on day of arrival & on departure.

We will require all of your Passport and flight details prior to your travelling. We can then arrange pickup/dropoff times and ensure that all licence's have been obtained & that any accommodation is ready upon your arrival.
