This package deal includes a one full day guided fly fishing float trip for two on the San Juan River in New Mexico. Lunch and drinks will be provided on our full day trips. This also includes all flies, tippet, leaders,and rods and reels if needed.
Pricing is based on lodging at the San Juan River Lodge or the Enchanted Hideaway. Units must be applicable price wise at the Hideaway. Either lodge accommodates double occupancy for two anglers. Pricing is based on two anglers and package price can be adjusted for a single angler.

San Juan River New Mexico- Aztec Package - The San Juan River, located in Northwestern New Mexico, is one of the most famous tail-water trout fisheries in the world.

Fishing Season
The San Juan River is a famous tailwater located in Northwestern New Mexico in Navajo Dam.
Approximately 5000-7000 trout per mile are in the 3.5 miles of Quality Water Section. The ratio Rainbows to Browns is about 70-30%.
The river fishes great year round with a variety of Midge and Baetis hatches. High season is June to November. There is usually a spring release from mid May to Mid June depending on snow pack in the San Juan. Flows increase from 500-750 cfs to 5000 cfs at peak release. Fishing can be off the charts during this period but wading can be difficult. It is best fished by drift boat.
From November through April, you can have the river to yourself as crowds diminish. Weather is great and midge hatches can be epic on cloudy days. Nymph and dry fly fishing will take fish.
