I'm glad you asked! The boat is a 39' loa custom Sport Fisherman and is well equiped for your comfort and saftey. It's a good idea to ing a jacket, hat and rain gear, Lake Michigan is big, cold and the weather can change suddenly.

Steelhead Fishing Lake Michigan -
Lake Michigan is the 3rd largest Great Lake. The lake is 307 miles long and up to 118 miles wide, an area of 22,300 sq. miles with a maximum depth of 925 feet. That's a lot of water and it's home to a lot of fish.

Salmonoids were stocked in Lake Michigan as a predator for alewives beginning with Coho in 1969 and Chinook or King Salmon in 1970. The introduction of more salmon species soon followed and made possible the outstanding sport fishery we enjoy today.

Now, Lake Michigan is teaming with Coho, Steelhead, Lake Trout, and the magnificent King Salmon. I'll use my years of experience to put our lures in front of these fish, simply said, we catch fish.

We fish in East Chicago Indiana in March, April, May and early June for Spring Coho and early Summer Steelhead.

Late June or July finds us in Winthrop Harbor Illinois as we follow the fish to deeper water. This keeps us close to the best fishing action all season long.

September and October East Chicago Indiana for those big Fall Kings, the thrill of landing a 25lb Chinook Salmon must be experienced to be appreciated.
