With over 30 rivers and streams, stocked with own and rainbow trout, Hawke's Bay is one of the most under-rated fishing areas in the North Island of New Zealand.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced angler, there is an opportunity for challenge and success in the many kilometres of uncrowded waters.

At the age of 12, I first cast a fly into the rivers of Hawkes Bay. Now, 30 years later, I am still fishing those same rivers and delight in sharing my experiences with visiting anglers. My professional guiding began in 1986 and I'm now a member of the NZ Professional Fishing Guides Association.

Many anglers are not familiar with Hawkes Bay, but if you have fished the North Island by helicopter, chances are you have fished here already. Guides from Taupo fly their clients to Hawkes Bay rivers.

Everything you will need including pick-up and put-down, lunch and non-alcoholic drinks.

All you need to ing is a pair of shorts/waders, stout shoes, sun block, Polaroid sunglasses and a hat.

Option 1:
7 nights / 6 days fishing based in Hawkes Bay.

Bed and Breakfast for 7 nights in accommodation set on a charming farm.
- 6 days guided fishing including shore lunches and licenses.
- Airport transfers.

Option 2:
7 days / 6 nights in a character cottage set on a local vineyard or farm.

Suitable for 2 anglers or 1- 2 couples travelling together. Self-catering Farm / Vineyard Cottage.    
- 7 nights accommodation.
- 6 days guided fishing for 2 anglers including shore lunches and  licenses.
- Airport transfers.
- Fishing equipment as required.

Additional Information:

Fly fishing based in Hawkes Bay but may involve travel to other districts as weather and river condtions dictate. Transport will be provided at no extra cost.
Prices based on land transport only.

Helicopter fly outs are available at extra cost. Catch and release is preferred.
