Helicopter Fishing Adventures:
Join us for the most incredible fishing experience of a lifetime.  Depart the resort each morning in our A Star helicopters.  Travel from sea level to 7,000 feet and down again into the Great Bear Rainforest where some of the most private and desirable fresh water fishing in the world await. Fly fishing or spin fish all day for Rainbow trout, Steelhead, Char and all 5 species of Pacific Salmon: Chinook, Coho, Chum, Sockeye and Pink.

Steelhead Fly-Fishing Adventures:
This is a perfect trip for dedicated anglers who want to catch the world’s premier fresh water sport fish. These elusive fish are found in the most remote and pristine river systems in the world.  The use of our helicopters turns this journey into luxury. This is a 4-day, 4-night trip offered only in the spring: April and May.

Helicopter Adventures:
This is a taste of all of our unique helicopter adventure activities, a popular choice for guests who want to explore our 30,000 square mile adventure playground.  Each morning and afternoon engage in a new activity of your choice and do it all!  Be sure to check out our Exclusively Yours trip option with this package.  Activity options include: Heli-Fishing, Heli-Rafting, Heli-Alpine Glacier Trekking, Grizzly Bear viewing, Whale Watching, Coastline Exploration, Sea Kayaking, and many more.

Location and Fishing Information

Heli-Fishing - The quickest way to get to us is to fly to Vancouver on the airline of your choice. You should arrive before 15:00 hours as Pacific Coastal Airlines will depart for Port Hardy at approximately 17:00 from the South Terminal of Vancouver Airport.

We will be happy to make these reservations for you. If you have booked a Heli-Fishing or Heli-Venture trip, you will fly Pacific Coastal to Port Hardy and our Helicopters will fly you to Nimmo Bay from there. The flight time to Port Hardy from Vancouver Airport is 1 hour. Flight time from Port Hardy to our lodge is 25 minutes. These transportation costs to Port Hardy are the responsibility of our guests.

There are those who may wish to fly their private aircraft to Port Hardy. In Port Hardy there are refueling and aircraft storage facilities available. (Esso 122.95). Ask us for details. Port Hardy has a 5000' runway with ILS facilities.

Private float planes can land and be secured right at the resort. There is a float plane service from Vancouver and Seattle direct to Nimmo Bay. Port Hardy is at the north end of Vancouver Island, a 7-hour drive with ferry & car from Vancouver.

Accommodation:

We have 6 inter-tidal chalets and 3 stream-side chalets. Each inter-tidal chalet has two bedrooms with queen beds in each. The stream-side chalets also have two bedrooms, with one queen and two twins. All chalets have a full bathroom that includes shower and bath tub and a comfortable lounge/living area set in a panorama of pristine wilderness only British Columbia can provide.

We can accommodate, depending on the season and type of trip, 2-18 people. Individual helicopter or total resort exclusivity is the preferred way to maximize your wilderness experience. Any number of people to a maximum of 18 guests can constitute exclusivity, however with exclusive use of our facility, full occupancy rate will apply. Individuals and couples are cordially invited to reserve space as we can create your versatile adventure package.
