Cottage and coarse lake

The three bedroom gite (holiday cottage) is set in 80 acres of countryside and has views down over the nearby 1½acre coarse fishing lake which is well stocked
The 7 acre Specimen lake lies in a tranquil and private area of countryside and is surrounded by mature trees providing peaceful seclusion for a very relaxing holiday.

For individual bookings we take up to a maximum of 4 anglers who have the use of the 6 swims. The swims have been cleared in areas to allow maximum privacy and distance from adjacent angers.

If you book the whole lake exclusively for yourself , the number of angers may be increased to 6.
Stocks boosted this year with more 20 -  30lb carp.

Accommodation is bivvy with a shared chalet which is equipped with basic cooking facilities, kettle, gas fridge, table etc. There is also a separate loo.
Further facilities, such as showers etc. are available on site.
Home-cooked food package available at £85 per person.
For breakfast you might be given something like a baguette filled with fried eggs and bacon, or  scrambled eggs & sausages;
A light lunch would be bread, cheese, pate, ham, soup etc; Crisps and fruit / biscuits
Dinner is always a main meal, such as Roast dinner, Chicken & Ham pie, Spaghetti bolognaise, Curry etc. and a pudding, e.g. sticky toffee pudding, crumble and custard, Syrup sponge, ice cream etc.

If you need any help or advice with your fishing, Greg is always happy to help and is usually on site. We can also provide bait and some fishing equipment if necessary.

We are not exclusively aimed at fishing holidays, there are plenty of other things to do and see. Some people come to enjoy the lovely surroundings and take advantage of the peace and quiet and to have their own secluded holiday location. Artists, bird-watchers etc. also find it an ideal location to enjoy their hobby. There is also plenty of sight-seeing to be had in this Perigordian region as we are surrounded by vineyards, châteaux, historical towns etc.

It is easy to get here by air or by car – the airports of Bordeaux or Bergerac are approximately one hour away.

Cottage and coarse lake - Welcome to our fishing Lakes set in the Forêt de la Double area of the Dordogne. The Dordogne is a beautiful region of forests and rolling hills with some of the best vineyards in the world creating some of the finest wines.
1½acre fishing lake which is well stocked with carp (up to 15lbs), tench, bream, roach etc.

The 7 acre Specimen lake has large King Carp to 46lb 2oz, Commonn Carp to 39lb, Grass carp to 28lb,
Pike to 29lb Tench to 7lb 8oz, Bream to 7lb 4oz, Black Bass to 5lb 4oz and Zander to 6lb 7oz.

The cottage (gite), which has been recently renovated, has 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have double beds and one bedroom has 2 single beds. The master bedroom is en-suite (toilet, basin, shower) and there is another separate bathroom with toilet, basin & shower. The fully fitted kitchen overlooks the open-plan dining/sitting room which has beautiful views down the field to the lake. The gite has plenty of books and satellite TV. There are French doors from the sitting area to the terrace which has a covered area to provide shade over the table & chairs. There are also sun-loungers (with cushions), a barbeque and a 3.6m hexagonal plunge-pool.
All bed linen and towels are provided.
Covered parking is provided, as well as a table tennis table with bats and balls.
The gite is fitted with electric radiators in all the bedrooms and bathrooms for cooler periods of the year, and there is a log burner in the sitting/dining room area.
