Yokanga is one of the very best Salmon rivers on the Kola Peninsula with its Increasing amount of very large Salmon year by year this is partly due to the Ban on net fishing and the catch & release policy of all concerned.

Upper Yokanga with great salmon fishing, and accomodation in our new tent camp on tributary Yokanga/Suhaya river. The best season is from the end of June to the beginning of August. The fishing is done according catch and relese on salmon up to 20 kg and on trout 1-3kg .

We offer you at a very attractive price a fishing holiday based on Natural Salmon fishing at its best on the Yokanga & the Suhaya rivers either by wandering the river banks or direct transport to the pools by motorboats. Here there is the chance of very large Salmon even Trout by day excursions With one of our guides.

Its a program in a tent camp close to the river. Six days great salmon fishing during the best season in our stationary tent camp on the tributary Suhaya. The camp is situated 50 km from the sea.

The fishing week Saturday Saturday is based around seven nights accommodation at the camp and six full days of fly fishing. Guests will arrive to Helsinki Friday, overnight and then via Finn air non stop jet service to Murmansk . From Murmansk, guests will transfer onto the Mi8 helicopter for the trip east to the Camp. After approximately 1hr 20 minutes the Mi8 will touch down at the camp and guests will be welcomed by the guide team. The Head Guide will then explain how the week will work in terms of fishing, meals, camp facilities and so on.

Flyfishing In Yokanga For Large Salmon - The YOKANGA was the last of the major Salmon Rivers on the Kola to be opened up to foreigners with the scaling down of the Military in this part of the world. It is located above the Arctic Circle at about 67.5º north latitude on the northeastern edge of the Kola about 175 miles from Murmansk, where it empties into the Barents Sea.

These virgin and relatively unexplored waters are home to some of the largest Atlantic salmon on the Kola. The fifth largest flow on the peninsula, the Yokanga has more than 200 kilometers of watercourse and good fishing for salmon and trout of various sizes. The fishing on Yokanga is challenging, but the rewards are great in the shape of potential fish of a lifetime and unforgettable battles.
