Location and Fishing Information
Roatan Fly Fishing - Roatan’s numerous East End flats present all the challenges and opportunities of hooking up with the coveted saltwater “grand slam.” Fly-fishing guests do most of their fishing by wading Roatan’s turtle grass and coral flats. However, you may also spend time fishing by boat in the island’s mangrove canals and shorelines.
Your guide will help you spot and stalk the “grand slam” consisting of a bonefish, permit, and tarpon all caught in the same day. Secondary target species include jacks, barracuda, snappers, grouper, and queen triggerfish.
In 2007, Fly Fishing in Salt Waters magazine named Roatan one of the top-10 permit hot spots in the world.

Accommodation
The Lodge's signature accommodations are our over-the-water cabanas. Set on pilings over the waters of Roatan’s Port Royal, these beautiful rooms offer guests a comfortable and relaxing home base for their daily adventures.
The cabana interiors feature Honduran hardwood floors, mahogany and cedar louvered windows, and unique, hand-carved decorative doors and furniture. Each room contains a queen bed, a single bed, a private bathroom with hot-water shower, and ceiling fans and reading lights.
The cabanas are wired for 110-v electricity and are fully screened.
The Lodge's restaurant and bar is the epicenter of the lodge’s activities. Like our cabanas, this building is built on pilings over the water and provides expansive views of Roatan’s Port Royal Harbor, Lime Cay, and Breakfast Flats.
The restaurant serves three meals a day, all made from scratch in the attached kitchen. Hot, American-style breakfasts are served until 9:30 a.m. Lunch is served at 12:30 in-house or as a sack lunch if you are fishing or on an activity tour. Dinner is at 7 p.m. and includes luscious desserts such as homemade key lime and coconut pie, banana fritters, and chocolate cake.
We serve American-style meals with Caribbean flair and an emphasis on fresh seafood dishes. All meals are set menus, but we are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions with advanced notice.
