Package Details and Information
Bike Tour Columbia River Gorge — Oregon (OR) Package:2001577
Ride the old Highway in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. You will meet at bike shop in downtown Portland where you will be fitted to your bike. You and your rental bike will then be transported by van to the riding location.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
To begin this combination bike and hike excursion (bike and helmet are included in the tour price) we'll jump into the van and drive 45 minutes along the Historic Columbia River Highway, completed in 1915. On the way we'll stop at the most photographed scenic vistas in the Gorge before unloading the bikes at the first of 7 waterfalls including Multnomah Falls, the second tallest continuously flowing waterfall in the country.
This slightly downhill 9-mile ride gives us a sense of what it was like to travel along the first National Scenic Highway in the nation through the gorge before construction of the interstate highway.*
We'll stop every mile or so to see the exhilarating falls, including short hikes right up to where you can feel the cool mist of the water and the pulsing concussion of air from the falls amidst the lush green growth of dozens of species of trees, bushes, ferns, and moss. Overhead we'll point out birds of prey such as osprey and bald eagles.
After exploring the falls complimentary cold drinks and snacks will revive you as our van transports you to Boneville Dam where you can take a self guided tour of the dam faclities and see Hermin the 300 pound Sturgeon. Then we head back to the city to complete your experience in one of the most beautiful places in Oregon.
Trip Duration: 5 hours

"We had an absolute blast!" “I want to highly, highly recommend your service and the guide you placed us with to any and all of your clients. If they want to catch fish and have a good time this is the way to go. Out of my many years of experience with fishing guides in Oregon your guide was the best. This guide went all out to make sure we caught fish and enjoyed the trip."
Mr. Minelle, Casino owner ~ Las Vegas, NV, United States "We had an awesome time Tuna fishing out of Newport, Oregon." “Caught lots of big tuna and had so much fun. The captain and crew were great and they knew how to find the fish for us to catch. We will definately use you again for our future fishing trips. The charter was very professional. My brother & boy-friend said it was the best birthday gift they could have gotten. Thanks again for your guidance and setting up this trip."
