Ice Fishing

After a brief stop for proper licenses and bait  for the day your guide will take you to a pond or lake for a day of fishing.

Will supply hot food, drink, icefishing gear, bait and transportation  for the day.

You must provide warm cloths (hats,mittens, gloves, extra socks, wool outter garments or fleece, ski paints and coat, etc.) Also don't forget the sunglasses and chapstick. The sunglasses will help cut down the glare of the sun on the snow.
A camera for pictures.

Ice Fishing - Deer Isle is located along the coast of Maine, in what they call the Penobscot Bay area. But we are considered to be part of the Downeast area of Maine. Fly into the Bangor jetport and take Rt. 15 south to the island.
Maine has lots of ponds, lakes, rivers and streams to fish.

Deer Isle area has lots of ponds to fish.
Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass are the main species here.

Ice fishing season begins Ice-in or January 1 and ends Ice-out or March 31 of each year.
