Fishing Northwestern Ontario on Yoke Lake

For those who enjoy variety in their fishing adventures, our Lodge offers six different species of sport fish - walleye, northern pike, muskie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and lake trout and six different lakes on which to try your luck.

All the lakes are easily accessible from the main lodge via boat or a short portage and offer exceptional catch-and-release fishing. These fertile waters of the southern Canadian Shield provide prime habitat for northern pike, walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, lake trout and muskie.

Strict catch-and-release policies have allowed our fishery to remain extremely productive over the years. Our guests tell us that the fishing is actually improving each year with more fish and larger fish caught and released by our guests.  We expect this trend to continue into the future.

Whether you are looking to land that trophy bass, muskie, pike, lake trout or walleye or just enjoy the peace and tranquility of our "little piece of heaven" our staff is there to take care of the details that will make your stay with us surpasses your expectations.

The main lodge is located on a peninsula separating Yoke Lake and Straw Lake.  The lodge looks out on a sheltered bay at the east end of Yoke Lake.  A short walk east down a forest trail takes you to Straw Lake.  

The location of the lodge provides guests with the option of exploring Yoke Lake for giant muskie, northern pike, walleye, lake trout or largemouth & smallmouth bass - or fishing the stained, shallow waters of Straw lake for impressive numbers of eating size walleye and trophy quality largemouth and smallmouth bass. Our other four lakes are easily accessible from either Yoke or Straw lake.

A deposit of $300 per person is required to confirm a reservation.

Comfortable 14' or 16' boats equipped with swivel seats, PFD's, minnow buckets, and fish cradles, 9.9 or 15 hp outboards.

7 day conservation license.
