Sturgeon Fishing in Southern Oregon
Oregon (OR) — Package: 200269
Package Details and Information:
Jan. - June. The lower Umpqua has high muddy water during the winter months but that doesn't stop these fish from feeding because they don't see their food anyway. Sturgeon fishing is quite good at this time, but the majority of the fish we catch have to be released because they are to big. The state regulations say that 1 fish between 42 to 60 inches may be kept per day, so fish over 60 inches are quite common. We fish the first 8 to 10 miles of the river from the ocean. This section is wide with high bluffs that protect the river from the wind most of the time.

"In no time at all he had taught me the basics and I was casting some very tight loops. Prior to meeting Clive I had only used a double handed rod for one day. He is an excellent tutor and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone - beginner or improver."
