Sturgeon Fishing in Oregon

Keeper Sturgeon lenth is between 42 and 60 inches.The Columbia river offers keeper Sturgeon fishing opportunities year around. We normally target these fish Feuary through August.
But it is always sturgeon fishing time.

The Columbia River, below Bonneville Dam,is a major spawning location for the giant oversized sturgeon. These huge prehistoric fish can grow to 20 feet in length and reach weights of up to 2000 lbs.

The average however that anglers are able to catch and release is between 6 and 14 feet with weights of up to 1200 lbs. To go after these monsters prepare for a fight of up to an hour. We normally target these fish May through August.

Sturgeon fishing is great fun for young and old, with tons of action throughout the day. A sturgeon trip, whether for keepers or oversized, will definitely give you and your party a day to remember.

Our 23 foot sled can take up to 6 clients, and are 17 foot drift boat can take up to 3 clients.

We work closely with other guides. So if your party is more lthen 6 let me know and I can get as many guides as needed for your trip.

You will need to bring:
A valid Fishing License and Salmon/Sturgeon tag, rain gear, water resistant shoes or boots, a hat, sunscreen, camera, and any food and drink you will want on the trip. Dress in layers, as it can be very hot and cold in the same day!

Most of my out of town clients stay at the Comfort Inn in Troutdale Oregon. It is close to the fishing and is a finee Hotel.
