Over Head Cast, Single Haul Cast, Double Haul, Distance Cast, Roll Cast, Side Cast, Shepherd Crook, Steeple Cast, Single and Double Spey Cast.

Trout Fly Fishing Instruction at Santhill Fishery-
Dry and Wet Fly Techniques, Nymph Methods.
Hourly and daily tutorials available, beginners welcome.
Full day course and a world famous chalk stream in Hampshire.
Specimen Grayling course, available October and November on the Upper Wye.

Salmon Fly Casting-
Basic Overhead Cast.
Advanced Overhead cast for distance and presenting light lines with small flies.
Roll Cast, useful to raise sunken lines and clean lifting of line off water before commencing cast.
Single Spey Cast using the new technique which ensures distance and good presentation in difficult wind conditions (Super Spey).
Double Spey Cast, useful in a strong downstream wind.
Basic and intermediate tuition at Santhill.
Advanced tuition on a private beat on the River Wye. (FULL DAY)
Hourly instruction available for beginners, intermediate and advanced anglers at Santhill Fishery.


Salmon Fly Fishing-
Practical instruction on the Wye. Floating and sunk line methods with particular emphasis on Super Spey technique. The style of spey casting the we encourage is ideal for shooting line for distance and requires less physical effort for maximum achievement.
Where as the crash and bang technique is extremely tiring and not recommended.

For Fly Fishing instruction, Spey Casting Tuition, Trout casting for Beginners and teaching for more experienced anglers.

Tuition from Brian, with over 20 years teaching experience with Beginners right through to Experienced Anglers. He teaches at Santhill Fisheries in the Cotswolds. Santhill Fisheries is a mature 26 acre lake, surrounded by 20 acres of meadowland, offering secluded and peaceful fishing in a superbly natural environment.

The lake is stocked with quality Rainbow and Brown Trout. Trout fishing is also available on the River Windrush but it is available to Season Ticket holders only.

The lake and river benefit from a wide variety of hatches, and the owner is usually on hand to give latest information. Day, half day, evening tickets and boat hire are all available. Tea and coffee making facilities are available to all paying rods.
