But with 2 boats and guides we can ensure that everyone has the chance for that fish of their dreams
CARPFISHING
The great thing about the River Ebro is that it fishes well for 12 months of the year. In fact the very best fishing for carp occurs during the months when getting a bite In colder climates is a real struggle. November, December, January and February are fantastic months for carp with a real chance of a big river lump like the 40lb 6oz fish shown in the pictures provided. Thats not to say that summer sport with carp is any less sensational. Multiple bags of carp with 14 -20 fish in a session is quite possible during the summer months but usually the stamp of fish is somewhat smaller.

Location and Fishing Information
Carp Fishing In Spain, River Ebro - Riba Roja D'Ebre nestles on the hillside overlooking the beautiful river Ebro in the heart of Catalunia. Once a prosperous town because of the livlihoods gained from the river system Riba Roja is now gaining a reputation as a centre for some of the best coarse fishing in Europe. Its history dates back to the crusades and the knights templars and remains of the castle are still evident. Narrow winding over arched streets lead you down to vantage points where vistas of the Valley captivate the viewer. Situated in the province of Tarragona Riba Roja D'Ebre is approximately one hours drive inland from the mediteranean coast. If you follow the route of the river you will pass through the enchanting orange groves of Xerta, see the magical medieval fortress town of Miravet and pass through the busting market towns of Mora D'Ebre and Flix. The route takes you through magnificent mountain passes and follows the changing moods of the river from deep slow moving glides to cascading shallows and mighty weirs. The energy of the river has been harnessed to provide hydo-electricty, forming wide reservoirs with sheer mountainous frames. These areas apart from the obvious beneifit to fishing also provide a haven for wildlife watching, inspiration for the artist/photographer, a challenge to the hiker and a playground for boating, sailing and water skiing. It is an area where time seems to stand still. A place where you can forget the hustle and bustle of daily life and totally unwind. With a number of small bars and restuarants in the town you can take it easy on a warm evening and absorb the relaxed atmosphere. Only an hours drive away is the Ebro Delta, a huge expanse of rich agricultural land formed by the deposits from the river. It is the biggest rice growing area in Europe and wildlife abounds. Flamingos, herons and egrets make this their home protected by large nature reserves. The beaches of the delta are uncluttered and uncrowded however if you want to spend time in typical spanish resorts then Salou is just down the coast and Universal Studios have a major theme park at Porta Ventura. The historic city of Tarragona would fulfil any shoppers dreams and has a wealth of heritage with a roman amphitheatre and many fascinating buildings.
