Carp fishing or sport fishing in France all nestled within 15 acres of private woodland, and located in the warm sunny Charente region of France.

We offer the perfect holiday location for complete rest and relaxation in secluded settings, you can have a family fishing holiday, or a french gite holiday with something for everyone.

The family can relax on sun loungers around the pool, or explore the woods and the streams, all whilst you are enjoying the sport of pulling out Roach and Tench by the dozen, or waiting for the sound of the buzzer, telling you that one of the many Carp is about to give you a run for your money.

If you like a lake that consists of shallows, deep areas, overhanging trees, and lots of places for Carp to hide, you will enjoy the natural fishing experience.

Recent fishing has produced Common Carp, Mirror Carp (up to  30lb), Perch, Roach and Tench.

We are situated on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Ambernac, and only a 5 minute drive to the historic medieval town of Confolens, which is situated on the beautiful River Vienne.

The villa style property lies in its own grounds of 15 acres, surrounded by garden and woodlands, with no other buildings in site. There is plenty of space for children to play or enjoy the swimming pool, and you can spend as much time as you like fishing.

Exclusive Carp Lake & Villa Fishing In France - Although the property is in an isolated setting, surrounded by trees, fields and hills you are still within easy reach of shops and the main roads.

The property is located in the region of Poitou Charente and is approx 400 miles south of Calais.

The village of Ambernac is near the town of Confolens which is around 45 minutes drive
from Limoges airport, and approx 1 hour from Poitiers. This is a really unspoilt part of France with some superb countryside.

The nearest large towns are Confolens and Angouleme. Anglouleme is the larger of the two towns but both have all the amenities you require, you also have a Casino (supermarket) in Ansac which is a 5 kilometres drive from the property.   Directions for the supermarket will be sent to you, following your final payment and there will also be directions in the Villa – there is nothing worse than trying to find the local supermarket in a foreign country after a long journey!

Driving time from Calais is around 6.5 hours depending on how fast you drive! You can also go to Le Havre or St Malo which is a shorter driving time but the ferry journey is longer.

The drive is very easy, and if you choose to can be done on motorway roads virtually all the way. If you have not driven in France before dont panic!

The roads are far less congested than in the UK and very easy to drive on. However, I would suggest that you keep away from Paris in the rush hour, as this can get very busy.

The villa sits at the bottom of a long drive through the woods, turn the last bend and their before you is the villa, swimming pool and lake, completely surrounded by your own private woodland. Shut the gates at the top of the drive, and you will be in a completely private world of your own.

You can relax around the swimming pool, enjoy the gardens and the lake, whilst the barbecue is gently cooking away behind you. Or alternately you can use the kitchen in the house, where you will find everything you could possibly need to make life easy for you. Sun loungers, garden tables, chairs, umbrellas and barbecue are all available for your use.  The villa offers comfortable accommodation sleeping up to 6 people, and your own private swimming pool.

The accommodation comprises of:

A lounge / Diner with a leather 3 seater settee and 2 armchairs, coffee table, television and CD player. There is a lovely large wood burning fireplace with oak mantelpiece. A large wood unit covers one wall, and is lined with books for you to enjoy.

The dining area has a table and chairs to seat 6 with french doors leading onto the raised balcony.

Off of the hall is the kitchen with gas cooker / hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee percolator, toaster etc. The kitchen is a sunny room with 2 windows overlooking the grounds.

Their are 3 bedrooms, each room has fully fitted wardrobes, and windows overlooking the lake or woods. 1 double bedroom has its own en-suite shower and washing facilities, the twin bedroom has its own en-suite shower and washing facilities, and the 2nd double bedroom is located next door to the family bathroom.

Their is a comfortable family bathroom consisting of sink, bath, toilet, and shower, plus, a separate toilet situated between the 2 en-suite bedrooms.

To the back of the house you will find a large garage containing a Windsurfer, and a Kyake in case you need a change from the fishing. You will also find the Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer in the garage.
