Sport Fishing Cape Town Africa
South Africa, Cape Town — Package: 2900712
Package Details and Information:
Operating out of the Simon's Town Waterfront in Cape Town, we provide world class Sport Fishing as well as various sightseeing and cruise options.
Situated at the southern most tip of Africa, Cape Town offers some of the finest Big Game Fishing in the world. The warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean meets the cold Benguela current of the South Atlantic Ocean at Cape Point, the southern most point of the Cape Peninsula. This incredibly productive system produces prolific catches of Yellowfin and Longfin Tuna as well as Yellowtail, Cape Salmon, Cape Snoek, Kob and the occasional Dorado and Atlantic Big Eye Tuna. Although not common, at certain times of the year it is possible to catch marlin and swordfish.
Rocky Bank, some six miles south of Cape Point, Whittle Rock, almost in the center of False Bay, as well as the shoreline off Strandfontein, offer good catches of Cape Salmon, Yellowtail and various species of sea bream.
Often appearing as early as July and peaking during the months of September to November, Southern Right Whales are ever present in False Bay, as well as various species of Dolphin. Seal island is crowded with Cape Fur Seals and the coast around the Boulders near Simonstown is home to large numbers of Jackass Penguins. Seals, Dolphins and Penguins can be seen throughout the year. There is a large variety of birdlife including Cormorants, Gannets, Albatross, Petrels, Terns and Gulls. The scenic beauty of the Cape Peninsula as well as the diverse and abundant marine life make Cape Town world renown.

"I would like to thanks you for the great service and your patience in teaching me the ropes in fly casting being a neophyte it was greatly appreciated. Also I don’t want to forget about the Trinité, this river gave me my first atlantic salmon in my life. I will miss the seals and whales each morning in front of my sea front cabin."
