North Carolina's Pamico Sound

North Carolina (NC) — Package: 200801

Package Details and Information:

Tarpon and giant red drum package includes 2 full days ( 8 to 9 hours) of fishing, tackle, bait, lunches, bottled water, ice for 1 to 3 anglers for $1200.
The redfish and albacore package is also for 2 full days of fishing and includes your tackle, baits, lunch, ice and bottled water for 1 or 2 anglers for $1000.

Tarpon, and plenty of them, enter the Pamlico Sound each summer.  Typically, our tarpon range 60 to 150 pounds and they are most consistently taken on cut bait. In addition to the silver king, we also have the world's largest red drum (redfish) enter our area roughly at the same time and both fishing seasons peak during August.  The drum are taken in a simular fassion as the tarpon and we will target both fish during the coarse of the day.  These breading reds are 25 to 60 pounds plus and the catch rates are vry high.  This is a catch and release only fishery.
The fall redfishing is excellent in the Pamlico and the false albacore fishing at Harkers Island is world renowned. Combine a 2 day trip; one fishing for redfish, seatrout and striped bass, the second albie fishing.  Ideal for both fly rod and light tackle.
