Location and Fishing Information
Fly Fishing New Hampshire - Set out from Base Camp on the Mad River in the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire for a most memorable Fly Fishing experience with Licensed New Hampshire Guide, Registered Maine Master Guide, and Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide.
Accommodation:
Our base camp is located on Rte. 49 in Thornton, NH on the banks of the cold, crystal clear, cascading, glacier formed Mad River that holds an abundance of brook, brown, and rainbow trout. The base camp primarily acts as a rendezvous site for client and guide. Some clients elect to stay overnight in one of the two White Mountain National Forest Campgrounds (Campton or Waterville Valley) that are just a few minutes from base camp on Rte. 49. Others have elected to stay at one of the numerous motels, inns, cabins, or bed and breakfasts in the general area. The more local clients usually do day trips.
The base camp is located within 20 minutes of three of the eight bodies of water that the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department manages as quality fisheries including Profile Lake, Upper Hall Pond, and Sky Pond. These three trout waters are designated as "fly fishing only" ponds and have been heavily stocked with 3+ year old, brood stock brookies. Please refer to the trophy fish awards captured by our clients, most of which were caught in the above three listed bodies of water.

"Thanks for an excellent day, I am hooked. Lots to learn, but I expected that. However having a day like today in the surrounding we were in is a real tonic. And to catch a wild trout, well the icing on the cake, or did you arrange that too!"
