Steelhead Fishing - California & Oregon

Come fish and enjoy two of the West Coast's wild and senic rivers, the Smith and Chetco.  These rivers are home to some of the best steelhead fishing that you can find in the lower 48 states.  The Smith river is home to the state record of 27 and 1/4 pounds. Many twenty pound fish are caught each season on the Smith and several are caught on the Chetco.  The Chetco may not give up as many big fish as the Smith, but it will challenge the Smith with just shear number of fish available to be caught. These fish are hard charging and usually perform several aerobatics and sumersults prior to coming to the boat.  Picture yourself drifting down a pristine crystal clear river among giant redwoods or myrtle trees and hooking into one of these silver bullets that will start your heart pounding and leave you something to remember and talk about the rest of your life.

We fish from a heated 17 foot "Willie" drift boat and all bait, equipment and tackle is provided. We use G Loomis Rods and Shimano reels. Steelhead season usually means rain, so be sure to bring rain gear and waterproof boots or waders.  One day license and harvest tags are available at each river and can be purchased the morning of each trip.

Steelhead Fishing - California & Oregon - This package mainly encompass guided fishing  on the Chetco river in Southwestern Oregon and the Smith River in Northwestern California.  These two river are within a half hours drive from each other and offer spectacular senery as well as fantastic steelhead fishing. It is recommended to book two days and enjoy the splender of both rivers.

There is many local lodging and restaurants in the near-by towns of Crescent City California and Brooking Oregon.
