The River Borgie is a small river of eight miles draining a loch system of four lochs wehre the fish head for spawning. There are three rotating beats of two rods, each with over 12 named pools plus various streams good for holding grilse. A single-handed rod of 10-11lb will usually suffice or a double-handed 12ft rod. Thigh waders are useful to cross the river as the river bends its way through the forest, and pools are fished best from varying sides.

The river is accessed by forestry road which runs up the entire length of the beats - so very little walking is required.

*The river yields around 200 fish per season. In recent years, sea-trout numbers have been increasing.
