Salwater Options For South Island

Our saltwater fly  fishery is a relatively new concept here in The South Island for fly fishing.

With Goddess, we have room for  2 anglers allowing for plenty of space. The Kawhai is a very exciting fish to catch on the fly. Size is typically from 4-8 pound. These guys set the reels screaming!!

We can also target Mako Shark on the heavy tackle, or Kingfish around the rocks.

Day trips out of Lyttleton or Kaikoura. (travel to Kaikoura by landcruiser as we tow Goddess to the Kaikoura fishery, allow 3 hours travel time)

Tuna can be found off the kaikoura coast when the conditions are right... email us to establish 'whats on!'

Kawhai, big schools of these abound over Summer months. Excitement is the name of the game as we chase these schools of hard fighting fish.

Last trip out 2 anglers landed over 50 kawhai in one afternoon!
