Lake Weiss has long been known as the crappie capital of the world.With a 10 inch size limit that gives us a good population of quality fish it has earned its name over the years.

In the summer I like to split the whole day trips and do 1/2 in the morning and the other 1/2 in the evening to beat the heat my experience has been that the stripers don't like the midday sun!

Guided Fishing Trips In Alabama - Weiss lake is a 30,200 acre impoundment with acres of shallow water and plenty of cover and dingy water it is a crappie paradise, with a 10 inch size limit it has great numbers of quality crappie. It has earned its name over and over through the years as the Crappie Capital Of The World! The freshwater stripers are reproducing in the lake and has a large enough population for the state to put a 30 fish per person creel limit with no size limit.The average fish range from 5-14 pounds they really produce some very exciting fishing! Largemouth bass are plentyful and average tournament weights take from 20-25 lbs to win.
The striped bass are reproducing in lake weiss,they are plentyfull and fairly easy to pattern we average catching 10-20 per 1/2 day trip in the 6-12 pound range.

Our crappie season for the spring is early to mid febuary thru late april. Our fall season runs from october thru early december.
Our striper seasons begin early may thru august 1st and december and january.
