Over the last couple of seasons I’ve been using a coated wire and barb-less hooks for my pike fishing. I’ve found no difference in the amount of lost fish and it s much kinder and quicker when releasing the fish. Also I’ve found that when using a double treble to mount dead-baits, that heavy catgut of 50 is better than wire in the gap between the hooks.

Please be kind to your fish. They’re the future of your sport.
