Hardy Sirrus Allwater Fly Reel Description
Hardy Sirrus Allwater Fly Reel
We like to think of the Sirrus as affordable brilliance and very much the reel of the destination angler – especially big fish angler – on a budget. The Sirrus has remarkable properties. It is, for example, extraordinarily light but that doesn’t in any way affect the quality or strength of the reel in use.
The offset drag system is efficient and very easily adjustable. The reel can be quickly changed from left to right-hand wind. The Sirrus is left cageless up to its seven weight version so the smaller reels can all be palmed when the fish is running. Above seven weight we have added a cage for the extra strength you need for big fish. For, make no mistake, the Sirrus is very much a big fish reel with its cavernous spool capacity. The larger sizes have been designed to take the new, longer-bellied spey lines with ease along with a couple of hundred metres of backing. And if you want to pursue big fish in salt, the All Waters are perfect for bonefish, tarpon or the biggest South American sea trout.
